Intel and Nvidia's compromise regarding SLI on the Bloomfield platform certainly isn't too popular among motherboard manufacturers but the Green Team's multi-GPU technology can't be ignored and Asus has already stated that it will support it in some of its future models. While Asus' first batch of X58 boards will only feature CrossFire support, the company is preparing some uber-high-end Republic of Gamers (ROG) models which will include Nvidia's NF200 chip and thus SLI and triple SLI readiness.

Asus has yet to give a release date for the Core i7-support and SLI-ready ROG motherboards but hopefully they'll arrive in time for the holiday season.
