SanDisk's Extreme III memory card line-up will soon be updated so as to include three new, super-speedy models. The fresh 4, 8 and 16GB cards offer maximum transfer speeds of 30 MB/s, 50% higher than those of SanDisk's current SDHC cards, which makes them perfect for use within new digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) cameras like the Nikon D90.

Able to work at extreme temperatures like -25 and 85 degrees Celsius, the new Extreme III cards are backed by a lifetime warranty and will become available worldwide in September. SanDisk has priced the 4, 8 and 16GB SDHC cards at $64.99, $109.99 and $179.99 respectively.
