While early motherboard samples powered by the GeForce 9300 and 9400 chipsets have been shown off since Computex, Nvidia's newest Hybrid SLI-enabling parts have yet to reach stores as the Santa Clara-based company was forced to delay them by quite a bit. Now, with summer gone and Q3 drawing to a close, the G(T)200 designer is finally seeing a light at the end of the tunner and is gearing up for the release of the first Hybrid SLI chipsets for an Intel platforms.
Expected to be officially introduced on September 23rd, the GeForce 9300 and 9400 offer support for Core 2 Duo/Quad/Extreme processors with FSBs of up to 1333 MHz, DDR2-800 memory and feature DirectX 10 integrated graphics. The 9300's IGP has 16 Stream Processors clocked at 1200 MHz and a core frequency of 450 MHz while the 9400 also has 16SPs but they are set to 1500 MHz and the core is clocked at 580 MHz. Depending on the manufacturer, a GeForce 9x00 board can be equipped with D-Sub, DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort connectors.
