Taiwan's Nanya Technology may be late but it can now finally say that its memory offer includes something for Intel Centrino 2-based laptops. The company has introduced 1 and 2GB Elixir DDR3 SO-DIMMs that are certified to work at 1066 MHz with CL7 timings.
"A new wave of NB replacement is being activated by Intel Centrino 2 Montevina. Our power-saving Elixir DDR3 1066 SODIMM will provide a perfect solution with higher computational and graphics performance at a lower power consumption for this new generation NB platform." said Dr. Pei Lin Pai, Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing and Spokesman of Nanya Technology Corporation.
The new, halogen free Elixir memory makes use of WBGA packaging and 70nm-built 1Gb chips and is powered at a JEDEC-approved 1.5V.
