The Eee PC is now one year old and apparently, it went back to its low-cost roots as over @ BestBuy there is a $300 ($299.99) Eee PC 900A ready for purchase. Since the introduction of the first 8.9-inch Eee PC, Asus' netbook line-up only went up in price so it's nice to see 700 series prices on an Atom-powered machine.

Equipped with a 1024x600 pixels LCD, the $300 Eee PC model has a 1.6 GHz Atom CPU, 1GB of RAM, a 4GB flash card, WiFi, LAN, a 1.3 megapixel camera and it runs Linux.
