While it will likely be eclipsed by the big boys - Asus, Gigabyte, MSI and Foxconn, Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS) is doing its part in order to be ready for the upcoming launch of the Core i7 CPU line-up and is preparing the release of its first and probably only X58 motherboard. Part of the Black Series, the X58B-A motherboard comes with a black PCB, support for Core i7 LGA1366 processors, triple channel memory via six DDR3 slots and a QoolTech II copper cooling system.

As seen below, for the X58B-A ECS opted for just two PCI-Express 2.0 x16 slots but they do offer both SLI and CrossFire support. In addition, the upcoming motherboard features six SATA 3.0 Gbps ports, two eSATA connectors, 7.1 channel audio and dual Gigabit Ethernet. Set to start shipping in time for the Core i7 launch, the X58B-A is said to be priced at about $260.
