While it is expected to release a few 45nm AM2(+) processors, the AMD's main wave of 45nm parts will consist of CPUs (codenamed Deneb, Propus, Heka, Regor) that come in an AM3 package which, while compatible with previous sockets, will bring a number of updates including support for dual-channel DDR3 memory and C1E halt states. Jumping the gun for the sake of marketing Asus just compiled a list that details its AM3-supporting AM2(+) motherboards.
Seen below, the list includes products based on AMD 790FX, 780G, 780V and 770 as well as Nvidia GeForce 8300, 8200, 7050 and 7025 chipsets. Asus will be adding more models to the list in the future so hopefully we'll see AMD 790GX, Nvidia nForce 750a, 780a boards listed too.
