South Korean IT company Samsung has just unveiled the 2494HS, a new Full HD monitor part of the SyncMaster series. Seen below, the upcoming 23.6-inch widescreen LCD has a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, a response time of 5ms, a maximum brightness of 300 cd/m2 and a contrast ratio of 1,000:1 (50,000:1 DCR).

Also equipped with two 3W speakers, the glossy monitor weights in 6.2kg and comes with D-Sub, DVI and HDMI connectors. Set to be released in one month's time in Japan, the SyncMaster 2494HS is expected to cost about $419.
