Creative brother from another mother, Auzentech, has now announced a new X-Fi-powered sound card, the Auzen X-Fi Forte 7.1. Seen below in all its low profile glory, the card has a PCI-Express x1 interface and features the Creative 20K2 PCI Express audio processor, 64MB of onboard memory, stereo playback at 16/24-bit up to 192kHz, plus support for WDM, ASIO2.0, EAX 5.0, Direct Sound, Direct Sound 3D and OpenAL.

"A large percentage of our customers are both gamers and audiophiles," said Stephane Bae, president of Auzentech. "Increasingly, they are requesting a low-profile sound card with 'mind-blowing' audio playback for music, movies, and games. We created the Auzen X-Fi Forte with these customers in mind."

According to its maker, the Auzen X-Fi Forte 7.1 will be available by the end of the year at a recommended price of $149.99.
