Antec has now added a new member to its Sonata family of PC cases, the Sonata Elite. Seen below, the case measures 48.1 (H) x 20.5 (W) x 44 (D) cm, weights 9.8kg, it is made out of 0.8mm cold rolled steel and features sound-deadening, two-layer (steel with polycarbonate) side and top panels and silicone grommets on the hard drive compartments to lower system-generated noise.
Offering three external 5.25-inch bays, the Sonata Elite comes with two three-speed 120mm fans at the back, washable air filters, and a front I/O panel which includes audio, USB and eSATA connectors.
"Antec set the standard in quiet computing with the original Sonata design," said Scott Richards, senior vice president at Antec. "The Sonata Elite's cutting edge features meet and surpass the needs of silent PC enthusiasts by offering improved quiet technologies, advanced airflow and an exciting new take on the Sonata Family legacy."
Backed by a three-year warranty, the Sonata Elite has a recommended price tag of $119.
