
Samsung has recently announced that it is preparing the release ofa new Touch of Color monitor, the slim P2370L. Likely featuring 23 inches in diagonal, the upcoming LCD makes use of LED backlighting, is just 16.5mm thick and features a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, a 2ms response time, and a contrast ratio of 2,000,000:1.
"As one would expect from Samsung, the P2370L represents the pinnacle of premium display craftsmanship as a high-end monitor that is sophisticated in not only appearance, but in the quality and performance it offers and in how it impacts the environment," said R.A Atanus, Vice President of Product Marketing at Samsung Electronics' Information Technology Division. "This monitor is truly a leadership product that will further solidify Samsung’s position as the foremost authority in the design, engineering and performance of displays worldwide."
Also coming with a secsi crystal-like bezel, the new monitor has a swivel stand, DVI connectivity and a power consumption 30% lower than that of CCFL bakclit LCDs. The Samsung P2370L is expected to hit stores later this quarter and cost $400.
