Wanting a piece of the growing flash storage pie, LinkVast Technologies, a company part of the SiS Group, has developed a couple of SSD controllers. Named LVT820 and LVT815, the chips have a SATA 3.0 Gbps interface, support 8 channels (64bit/64CE) and 4 channels (32bit/32CE) memory systems, 16-bit ECC, and Advanced Dynamic & Static Wear Leveling technology.

Also coming with support for external DRAM interfaces, the controllers work with both SLC (single-level cell) and MLC (multi-level cell) NAND flash memory chips, and are made using the rather old 110 nm process.

The LVT820 and LVT815 are now sampling and are set to become available in June.
