
Not wasting too much time, Zotac has now announced its first and likely only watercooled GeForce GTX 285, the Infinity Edition. Equipped with a copper waterblock with 3/8" fittings to enable lower working temps and higher overclocking potential, the new model features a 55nm GT200b GPU with 240 Processing cores, a 512-bit memory interface, triple SLI support, DirectX 10, CUDA and PhysX capabilities, and two DVI connectors.
In terms of clocks, Zotac was went all out with the Infinity and set its GPU, shader and 1GB of GDDR3 memory to 722 (648 MHz stock), 1584 (1476 MHz) and 2700 MHz (2484 MHz) respectively.
"We saw that high-end enthusiasts were using water-cooling systems increase overclocking performance and lower operating temperatures. With our Zotac GeForce GTX 285 Infinity Edition, we're able to offer a water-cooling ready high-performance graphics card that integrates well with existing water-cooling components at a relatively low cost,” said Carsten Berger, marketing director, Zotac International.
The card's price tag has not been revealed.
