Back in January info regarding the release of a 3.1 GHz-clocked Phenom II CPU came about and today, much to the joy of AMD fanboys and girls, the company is said to be preparing something even better. Named Phenom II X4 955, the 45nm AM3 part will feature a stock clock of 3.2 GHz, 8MB of L2 cache, support for dual channel DDR2 and DDR3 memory and a TDP of 125W.

Reported being set for an April release, the Phenom II X4 955 will be followed in May by a couple of cache-enriched dual-core Phenoms. Clocked at 3.0 GHz and 3.1 GHz respectively, the Phenom II X2 545 and 550 respectively will be able to brag with 6MB of L2 cache, three times the size of the Athlon X2 7750, and with both DDR3 and DDR2 memory support. The dual-core CPUs have a TDP of 85W and will work with AM2+ boards with the help of a BIOS update. The prices of the three upcoming 45nm Phenom are yet unknown.
