Super Talent has now introduced the MasterDrive RX family of solid state drives. Coming in SLC (128 and 256GB capacities) and MLC (128, 256 and 512GB models) flavors, the new 2.5-inch SSDs have a SATA 3.0 Gbps interface, and a MTBF (mean time before failure) of over 1 million hours. Thanks to the use of the RAIDSSD technology, the MasterDrive RX drives reach a sequential read speed of 230 MB/s, and a write speed of 160 MB/s for the MLC (multi-level cell) models and 200 MB/s for the SLC (single-level cell) models.

The SLC RX SSDs are offered a three-year warranty while the MLC drives are backed by a two-year warranty. As the title says, the 512GB MasterDrive RX MLC is already shipping and so it can be found here at $1,449.99.
