Chinese flashy fiddler RunCore has now introduced the Pro IV family of 2.5-inch solid state drives. Coming in 32, 64, 128 and 256GB capacities, the drives feature a SATA 3.0 Gbps interface, make use of MLC (multi-level cell) NAND flash memory chips, have a MTBF (mean time before failure) of over 1.5 million hours, 12bit ECC per sector, and are backed by a one-year warranty.

The 32GB SSD boasts 32MB of buffer memory while the higher capacity models boast 64MB. The 32 and 64GB SSDs offer read and write speeds of up to 251 and 150 MB/s, the 128GB drive goes up to 240/185 MB/s, and the 256GB model tops 240/180 MB/s.

According to RunCore, the 32, 64, 128 and 256GB Pro IV drivers will start becoming available on May 15 at about $150, $250, $450 and $890 respectively.
