QNAP has now revealed its latest Atom-loaded storage solution, the TS-239 Pro Turbo NAS for SMB and SOHO users. The new 2-bay device measures 150 (H) x 102 (W) x 216 (D) mm, supports hard drives with a capacity of up to 2TB, and boasts a 1.6 GHz Atom CPU, 1GB of RAM, 128MB of flash memory, two Gigabit Ethernet ports, three USB 2.0 connectors and even two eSATA ports.

"The Intel Atom-based TS-239 Pro Turbo NAS is an excellent network storage option for small business and SOHO users who require a power-saving and silent server that has to be turned on day and night. The NAS supports two 2TB hard drives and can be configured for storage expansion or backup server of other servers with the built-in iSCSI target service. It is a high competitive alternative for setting up an IP-SAN (Storage Area Network) in a small business environment," says Jerry Deng, Product Manager from QNAP.

The TS-239 Pro Turbo NAS comes with support for everything from Windows and Mac to Linux and UNIX OS and is expected to arrive by the middle of this month at $499 (without any HDD).
