With the Phenom II X4 955 and 945 out and doing their part to grab more market share from Intel, AMD is preparing a new wave of AM3 processors which includes no less than eight energy efficient parts. Likely to arrive next month (maybe at Computex), the e-series DDR3-supporting quad- and triple-core CPUs bear both the Phenom and Athlon brands and feature TDPs of 45W and 65W (depending on model).

As detailed in the chart below, the 65W AM3 line-up includes two Phenom II X4s (905e and 900e) and two X3s (705e and 700e), while the 45W pack features the L3 cache-less Athlon II X4 605e, 600e, X3 405e and 400e. The processors' prices have yet to be revealed.
