Intel has this week sent out word that its DX48BT2 (Bone Trail 2) motherboard is set to get discontinues this coming quarter. With the more popular P45 and other chipsets able to back the LGA775 platform in the future, Intel will stop shipping its high-end X48 board and focus on its X58-powered DX58SO and on the P55 product which is expected to arrive in Q3.

The DX48BT2 will be available for order until July 1st, with the last shipping date for it being October 1st.
