Acer broke the ice with the AspireRevo nettop but its rivals are getting into the ION game too, with Lenovo reported to announce its first ION product, a 12-inch netbook, tomorrow. Not much info about the upcoming portable machine is yet available now so we'll just have to wait it out.

What's certain is that the 12-inch ION netbook will feature an Atom CPU - likely either the 1.6 GHz N270 or the 1.66 GHz N280, and GeForce 9400 integrated graphics delivering a more graphics power compared to Intel's GMA solutions, and 1080p HD video playback. Hopefully battery life won't suffer much from the mix. Wait and see.

- [Update/Later edit]: It seems that Lenovo's ION-based IdeaPad S12 will feature a Atom N270 processor and hit stores this summer with a price tag under $600. As you can see below, the 12-inch ION machine is set to arrive in black and white.
