Intel's low-cost dual-core Pentium line-up is set to get a small update as the Santa Clara chip titan is planning to introduce the 45nm E2210 and phase out the 65nm-built E2200. Boasting a working frequency of 2.2 GHz, 1MB of L2 cache, a 800MHz FSB and a TDP of 65W, the E2210 consumes less power than the CPU it has to replace and also includes new 'features' like the Deep Sleep State (C3E) and Deeper Sleep State (C4E).
The Pentium E2200 is currently listed with a price tag of $64 but, when it becomes official, the E2210 may cost a little less.
