Coming to confirm earlier leaks, PowerColor has now officially announced the PCS HD4730 graphics card. Although a 4700 series product, the HD 4730 is not powered by the 40nm RV740 GPU but the 55nm RV770LE which has already used for the Radeon HD 4830. In any case, the new card with the old chip has 640 Stream Processors, a 128-bit memory interface and 512MB of GDDR5 memory, an Arctic Cooling fansink taking up two slots, DirectX 10.1 and CrossFireX support, plus two DVI outputs.
"PCS HD4730 is created to be the new performance and price leader," said Ted Chen, CEO of TUL Corporation. "If you have a limited budget but would like to have a powerful upgrade to take all games to the extreme, the PCS HD4730 is the best choice for you."
Boasting GPU and memory clocks of 700 and 3600 MHz respectively, the PCS HD4730 is set to hit stores on June 8th with a price tag of just $80.
