Acer Japan has just introduced a couple of monitors which are claimed to consume significantly less power than similar offers. The 19-inch V193WBbmd, which is said to require 25% less power than other LCDs, features a native resolution of 1440x900 pixels, has a 5ms response time, a 10000:1 contrast ratio, 300cd/m2 brightness and two 1W speakers.

The 22-inch V223WBbmd cuts power consumption by 36%, has a resolution of 1680x1050 pixels, two 1.5W speakers and pretty much the same specs as its little brother.

The V193WBbmd and V223WBbmd are priced at about $184 and $235, respectively.
