Super Talent is serving up more NAND-based storage solutions, this time for the embedded segment, as IDE flash disk modules (FDMs). Coming with vertical or horizontal 40- and 44-pin connectors, the FDMs feature hamming code-based EDC/ECC, a MTBF (mean time before failure) of over 1 million hours, and boasts either SLC (single-level cell) or MLC (multi-level cell) NAND flash memory chips.
The SLC models are available in 4, 8 and 16GB capacities and provide rad/write speeds of 80/60 MB/s, while the 8, 16 and 32GB MLC modules top 80/40 MB/s when reading/writing. The FDMs are said to be shipping but their maker hasn't provided a pricing list.
