Three weeks have passed since Nvidia
introduced its first 40nm products, the GeForce GTS 260M, GTS 250M, GT 240M, GT 230M and G210M mobile cards, and the Santa Clara-based company has now made a stealthy roll-out of the first 40nm desktop cards, the GeForce G210 and GT 220.
Both OEM products and not advertised/announced, the G210 and GT 220 can be seen in almost their 40nm glory below, boasting half-size PCBs, actively cooling and D-Sub, DVI and HDMI/DisplayPort (GT 220/G210) outputs.
The G210 features 16 Processing Cores, a 64-bit memory interface, DirectX 10.1 support and comes with frequencies of 589 MHz, 1402 MHz, and 500 MHz, for the GPU, shaders and 512MB of DDR2 memory. As for the GT 220, it has 48 Cores, a 128-bit memory interface, 1GB of GDDR3 memory, and GPU/shader/memory clocks of 615/1335/1580 MHz. Expect to see both cards in pre-built systems soon, but if you want one for your PC, you'll probably have to wait until the end of Q3 when the consumer-oriented
GT 210 and GT 220 will be released.
