Whether you think it's hot or not, the P55 chipset is something to look forward to, even if only because it's 'new'. In that short note, a new P55 motherboard, the Asus P7P55D EVO, smiled nice for the camera and can now be admired from almost every angle. The upcoming mid-range P55 board boasts a black PCB, 12-phase power, has support for LGA 1156 processors, four dual channel DDR3-ready memory slots, three PCI-Express x16 (x16, x8 and x4 electrical) slots, and a heatpipe-less cooling system.

The board also comes with eight SATA 3.0 Gbps ports, dual Gigabit Ethernet, 7.1 channel audio, a FireWire connector, plus Power and Reset buttons. The P7P55D EVO is expected to debut later this quarter (late August/early September). For more P55 pixel pandemonium check out AnandTech.
