Already shipping in Japan, the Foris FX2431 24-inch widescreen monitor from EIZO is slowly but surely finding its way to Europe where it is expected to arrive in just under a month. The new LCD, which is actually the first Foris series model to be sold outside of Japan, features an S-PVA with a native resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels that reproduces 96% of the Adobe RGB color space, has a response time of 6ms (G2G), a maximum brightness of 360 cd/m2, and a contrast ratio going up to 2000:1.
The FX2431 also comes with two 2W speakers, two USB ports, one D-Sub, one DVI and two HDMI connectors, will be available in black or silver, and will be backed by a five-year warranty. The less attractive thing about the monitor is its price tag which is expected to be of around 898 Euro.
