Showing Mac users some love, Patriot Memory has announced a series of flash drives designed specifically for them. Named Koi, the new 2.5-inch SSDs come in 128 and 256GB capacities, have 64MB of cache memory, a SATA 3.0 Gbps connection interface, a MTBF of over 2.5 million hours and maximum sequential read/write speeds of 260/180 MB/s.

"In designing the Koi, we wanted to bring a product to market that was specifically designed for the performance found on Apple platforms," says Meng Jay, Patriot's Flash Product Manager. "The Koi Series has been thoroughly tested in Apple's Development Center to ensure optimal compatibility and stability."

Set to become available shortly, the Koi drives are backed by a five-year warranty.
