It might not have picked up pace as fast as most manufacturers wanted, but Intel's CULV (consumer ultra-low voltage) offer is still quite attractive, especially price wise, so naturally well be seeing more ultra-portables based on it. Take Dell, as it's the focus of this piece, who's currently working on the Inspiron Z line-up of (relatively) thin and light laptops that make use of CULV processors.
While the actual specs of the Z series machines are unknown what's certain is that Dell will release 11.6-, 14- and 15-inch models, likely to take on the the likes of Acer and its Timeline family. The Inspiron Z series laptops are said to arrive this fall.
