South Korean electronics titan Samsung is preparing to update its SyncMaster line of LCD monitors with two new models, the 24-inch P2470HD and 27-inch P2770HD. The upcoming monitors both feature a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, have built-in analog and digital (DVB-C/DVB-T) TV tuners, a response time of 5ms, a brightness of 300 cd/m2 and a dynamic contrast ratio of 50,000:1.

The widescreen LCDs also boast stereo speakers,and have D-Sub, DVI, HDMI, Component and SCART connectors. The P2470HD and P2770HD's recommended price tags are of 389 and 499 Euro respectively but currently they are listed at 504 Euro and 645 Euro on the T-Online shop.
