Kingston Digital has now released the MobileLiteG2, a compact reader that has support for SD, SDHC, microSD, microSDHC, Memory Stick PRO Duo, Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo and Memory Stick Micro cards. The new device measures 62.15 x 29.40 x 16.40 mm, it weights just under 19 grams, has USB 2.0/1.1 connectivity and works with Windows 2000, XP, Vista, 7, Linux v.2.6.x or newer and Mac OS X 10.3.x or later.
"The MobileLiteG2 is a small, portable reader that makes managing content quick and convenient between a device like a mobile phone, digital camera or MP3 player, and a host device with a USB connection such as a PC," said Wendy Lecot, Flash card business manager, Kingston. "For consumers and business users, the compact size and simple plug-and-play ability makes it an essential part of one’s mobile gear."
The MobileLiteG2 comes with retractable covers for each side, is bundled with a lanyard and a short USB extension cable and is backed by a two-year warranty. Those interested can get the card reader either standalone for $11 or bundled with a 4GB or 8GB Class 4 SDHC card for $28.50 and $46, respectively.
