Taiwanese manufacturer Silicon Power is serving more storage on the go with the Armor A50, a stylish new portable hard drive that is shock proof and really rugged but also has a shiny aluminum shell. Seen below, the drive measures 133.5 x 78.0 x 16.3 mm and weights 200 grams, comes in 250, 320, 500 and 640GB capacities, has a USB 2.0/1.1 interface, is Plug & Play, and includes a OneTouch backup button for keeping data safer than before.

Said to already be shipping, the Armor A50 is provided with a 60-day trial version of Norton Antivirus, and is backed by a two-year warranty. The pricing scheme of the portable drive has not been revealed though.
