Linux creator and founder Linus Torvalds gave Microsoft the great (albeit sarcastic) thumbs up this week in Japan.

The open-source idol was in Japan for their national Linux Symposium and exhibition. Microsoft apparently deliberately went and stuck in a promotional booth right across the street from the centre where the conference was taking place.

Well, during a break from the talks, one of Torvald's 'fans' dragged him over to the booth for some silly photos - producing some pictures which are sure to go down in Microsoft/Linux history.

Thanks to Steven Bink (Bink.nu ) for the photo.
