Myka has embraced the Nvidia-promoted ION platform and used it to build a new HP media player called simply Myka ION. Seen below, the device enables users to browse the interweb and play video content directly on the TV and features a 1.6 GHz Atom 300 dual-core CPU, 2GB of RAM, GeForce 9400M integrated graphics, three SATA connectors and an expansion slot for an extra HDD or a Blu-Ray optical drive.
"Technology has finally caught up with what consumers want out of Internet video services," said Myka President Dan Lovy. "They want to be freed from their computers and watch the growing variety of Web video content on their large-screen, high-definition living room TVs. And they want to do it without a lot of hassle and without video quality suffering. We've heard them loud and clear and we're proud to present the Myka ION, the first product to take advantage of the latest processor technology and finally give Web video consumers what they want."
Also boasting 5.1 channel audio, and Gigabit Ethernet, Myka ION is
available with a 160GB HDD and no BD drive for as low as $379.
