Before it gets to deliver some USB 3.0 storage solutions, Dane-Elec is releasing a new line of flash drives that makes use of the ol' USB 2.0 standard. Called Micro Mate, the fresh drives measure just 1.7cm x 3cm x 0.3cm, have a shiny metal casing, a flip mechanism that protects their USB connector, are backed by a 5-year warranty and deliver read and write speeds of up to 35 MB/s and 6.5 MB/s, respectively.

The Micro Mate line includes 2, 4 and 8GB models which have recommended price tags of £9.99, £19.99 and £34.99, respectively.
