Still in experiments and haven't tested on other machines yet.

What's good for this ones?
-Simple and easy to patch file
-Works on all XP/2003
-Support non-English OS (every language)
-related strings in stringtable 439 won't be modified.

This "resource hacker" only delete text from log off/shutdown buttons but it doesn't move them to the right!!

If you want this, you must do it with Style Builder. wink.gif (Windowx, please can you build a new visual style with this two buttons to the right like Vista? Thanx).

One more thing: dear Mr Windowsx, this patch doesn't work for my italian version of XP. It makes a backup of Explorer.exe, then creates a file called "Explorer" (with notepad it shows some command lines) but ... where is Explorer.exe ? unsure.gif Without this exe, XP doesn't work (you know)!

Same for me.

Try to rename Explorer (the latest file created) in Explorer.exe; than launch it with Task Manager, after your explorer crashes
Windowsx
I'll check this out. Maybe .bat is only exit lol.

Yes, you can get a search bar for the start menu with other transformation packs. They do not work like the vista start search bar, they just look good really, lol tongue.gif

I am not exactly sure that I am using the latest version of this utility, but the copy that I have was packaged with Jemaho's Vista 2.1 Windowblinds theme that can be downloaded here - http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/34673977/

The issue I am having is related to system restarts. The patch installs perfectly (from what I can tell), but as soon as I restart my system the text is back and I need to re-run the patch twice (it thinks it is still installed) to remove the text again.

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?
