Full Version: Data Execution Prevention Error

I installed VTP 4.0 when it came out, and I guess I paid the sorry price for trying this kind of experimental software. After I installed it, my Fruity Loops software (which I use for music creation) stopped working. I needed that more than a snazzy looking interface, so I uninstalled VTP 4.0. After uninstalling, I noticed that the display control panel gives errors when selecting desktops to choose from, or when browsing for desktops. Quite often, Data Execution Prevention gets in the way, and closes Rundll to stop the display control panel. This only occurs on the desktop selection tab though.

The first thing to come up is usually the DEP notice, but occasionally the unhandled exception appears before it.

I would love it if I could change desktops without causing errors on my system. (takes about 10 loads of the display control panel/desktops tab to actually use the desktop settings correctly).

Please help!

Since I uninstalled VTP4.0, I figured that if I installed 3.0 again, things would get better... so I reinstalled 3.0, and problems still occured, both while 3.0 was installed, and while it is not.
