After i got the sp2 update my sound system which is a reateak 97 on board sound for windows has stop working i have Re-Install drivers over and over that dosn,t seem to help

now it saids that ac'97 has drivers install But when i go to strat and check the sounds And
Auido devices it saids i have no audio device and the audio and voice panels are grey at i have try everthing to fix it

I need help if i can,t fix this i migth half to just undo the sp2 update?

Hmm I've heard about these problems before, but most of these problems occurred a long time ago when everybody was converting to SP2. So chances are you probably have a lot of other software installed on your pc that might be interfering with the drivers. It is also not guaranteed that your drivers will start working again when you remove SP2.
If I can make a suggestion I would do a reinstall of windows all together and after you have the reinstall straight away put SP2 on it.
